Volunteers provide practical assistance to elderly people, including help with shopping, pharmacy visits and paperwork. These simple acts of neighbourly service help make everyday life easier while providing companionship and helping to reduce loneliness.

Community collections and partnerships also bring people together to respond to local needs, strengthening a spirit of solidarity, compassion and service.

Assistance extends beyond Austria through monthly donations to Grace Kitchen in Rome and A Light for Ukraine, helping provide food and support to vulnerable communities, including orphans, elderly people and people with disabilities.

EWEF supports Education in Human Values through workshops on the Bhagavad Gita and values-based education. The organisation also contributes to the translation and design of Human Values books for schools, helping make values-based educational resources accessible to students and educators and encouraging ethics, character and responsible living.

Education and cultural exchange are also an important part of its work in Austria, bringing young people and communities together through music, arts and interactive learning programmes.

Through partnerships with Caritas, the Häferl tavern by Diakonie and Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity, volunteers support the provision of meals and essential food assistance to families and people experiencing homelessness. Neighbourhood and parish collections, together with Caritas, also provide groceries and hygiene items to households experiencing hardship.
