Educates an orphaned child for a month

Active since: May 2016
One World One Family Mission is active in Croatia through Zaklada Ananda (Ananda Trust Croatia), bringing together volunteers and community initiatives that promote human values, compassion and practical service. Its work supports people and communities through nutrition, education, community care and humanitarian service.
Here are a few ways in which we serve

Through the Value Educating the World programme, values education books for students and handbooks for teachers are translated into Croatian. Regular workshops and training programmes support teachers in bringing human values into education. The European Institute for Human Values has trained educators through values-based programmes and has also carried out projects in partnership with the Ministry of Education, supporting the integration of human values and ethical approaches into education across Croatia.

Through the Happiness volunteer group and its collaboration with humanitarian partners, volunteers prepare and distribute food to people experiencing homelessness and hardship. The work is guided by the principle that no one should go hungry and brings together volunteers to provide nutritious meals with care and dignity.

Volunteers support children, families and vulnerable communities through practical assistance and community care. In Krnjak, volunteers support kindergartens and the House of Unity, while also providing school supplies, clothing and shoes to children and families in need. Support for the local community includes visits, transport for medical appointments, household repairs and donations of food, clothing and other essentials.
The Love All Serve All initiative provides food, medicine, financial assistance and school books to families in need, including during times of crisis such as refugee movements, floods and earthquakes. Volunteers also work with humanitarian partners to support people experiencing homelessness and hardship.

Ananda Center for Human Development
The Ananda Center for Human Development is being developed in the Municipality of Krnjak, approximately 20 km from Karlovac. The centre is intended to serve as a place for human development, spiritual learning, social activities and community connection, welcoming people from Croatia and abroad as well as volunteers, visitors and local residents.
The centre forms part of the wider Ananda Ecovillage project, which aims to combine spiritual and ecological living with green infrastructure, green energy, sustainable building practices, regenerative agriculture and respect for the surrounding rural environment. The Ananda Center site currently includes 32 hectares of agricultural and partly forest land, with the planned ecovillage designed to accommodate up to 900 residents and users.
The centre is being developed in stages as part of a broader vision for a sustainable community rooted in human values, harmony and service.
