One World One Family Mission is active in Italy through Foundation Casa Del Divino and local volunteers, supporting people and communities through nutrition, education, inclusion and human development. Its activities include practical support for people in need, educational programmes for children and young people, and initiatives that promote creativity, connection and human values.
How we serve
Here are a few ways in which we serve
Nutrition
Through the Feed the World initiative, the homeless are fed three times a week from Grace Kitchen in Rome. Grace Kitchen brings together 40 active volunteers who prepare and distribute hot meals to the homeless in Rome, creating a warm, family-like environment. Across Italy, food support reaches vulnerable families and individuals, including monthly supermarket donations to families in need and the preparation and distribution of meals and hot drinks to the homeless.
Education
Through the Value Educating the World programme, values education books for students and handbooks for teachers are translated into Italian. Regular self-development workshops are also held for young people.
The School of Peace provides after-school support to children from working-class areas. Young people teach human values and take part in intergenerational activities, including visits to elderly residents.
Community Support
Orchestra Parallela brings together children and young people with disabilities, musicians, healthcare workers and students in an inclusive orchestra that encourages expression, creativity and connection through music.
Touching Art makes art accessible to visually impaired children and adults. In collaboration with Associazione Museo, teachers receive specialised training and guide blind students through tactile art experiences, museum visits and creative workshops.
At the Magenta centre near Milan, volunteers contribute to the maintenance, cleaning and gardening of the centre as it develops into the future Institute for Human Excellence.

Foundation Casa Del Divino - ONLUS
Foundation Casa Del Divino is a non-partisan, non-political and non-denominational charity registered under Italy's Third Sector framework, dedicated to social solidarity. It supports people facing physical, psychological, social, family or economic hardship, providing charitable and social care to those experiencing disadvantage, marginalisation or serious economic difficulty.
Additional Information
The Casa del Divino Ashram, inaugurated on April 10, 2018 in the municipality of Assisi, sits on 15 hectares of unspoiled nature near the city. Since its inauguration, the Ashram has hosted European Youth Meets, offering young people from across Europe a weekend of peace, sharing, serenity and prayer. Throughout the year, adults are also welcomed to live at the Ashram for periods dedicated to external gardening, alternating service with singing and prayer, or on set dates and timetables.
