Nepal

Active since: 2016

One World One Family Mission is active in Nepal through the newly established One World One Family Mission Nepal and the longstanding service work of Society for Selfless Service. Together with local volunteers and service initiatives, the Mission supports communities through education, nutrition, healthcare and social care, while developing new programmes to extend this work across Nepal.

How we serve

Here are a few ways in which we serve

Nutrition

Through the Feed the World initiative, nutrition support is provided to children in rural government schools. Local volunteers have supported school nutrition programmes that provide morning and afternoon meals, helping children access nutritious food while encouraging regular attendance and participation in education.

The Mission is also exploring the introduction of SaiSure nutrition products into Nepal, subject to the necessary review and approvals.

Education

Education is supported in rural communities through access to learning resources and technology. Computers have been provided to rural government school libraries to help children develop familiarity with digital technology and new ways of learning.

The Nepal team is also actively involved in translating Values Education books into Nepali, helping make human values education resources accessible to Nepali-speaking students and educators.

Since 2016, an orphanage in Kathmandu supporting around 20 children has also been part of the team's ongoing service activities. The team makes regular visits, provides grocery supplies and supports the children's education. Four girls from the home are now studying at One World One Family Mission education campuses in India, providing opportunities for continued education and growth.

Health

Health screening initiatives in rural schools in Bajura and Dhading, helping children access basic health assessments and guidance have been provided. Activities have included health and nutrition assessments, dental check-ups, deworming support and education on hygiene and sanitation.

Community Support

The Uvacha team in Nepal supports the translation and publication of spiritual and values-based books into Nepali. These resources are also made available to rural communities through community libraries, helping make educational and spiritual literature accessible to readers beyond major urban centres.

Who we are

The Mission's work in Nepal is supported by Society For Selfless Service and One World One Family Mission Nepal.

One World One Family Mission Nepal

One World One Family Mission Nepal is the Mission's newly established legal entity in Nepal. It was formally incorporated on 8 April 2026 as a profit non-distributing company under Nepal's Companies Act, 2006. The organisation is currently developing its work in Nepal, with an initial focus on translating Values Education books into Nepali and exploring nutrition initiatives through the Feed the World Programme.

    Society For Selfless Services

Society for Selfless Service is a longstanding volunteer-led service initiative in Nepal that has supported rural communities and children through nutrition, education, healthcare and social care. Its work has included school nutrition programmes, educational support, health camps, assistance to children in residential care and the provision of learning resources to rural communities. This longstanding work now forms part of the wider service ecosystem through which the Mission serves communities in Nepal.
