Educates an orphaned child for a month

Active since: 1986
Since 2012, volunteers and partner organisations in Singapore have supported One World One Family Mission’s work around the world. In Singapore itself, youth-led service is nurtured through communities such as 1YOUTH Society and Uplift Singapore, inspired by universal love, values-based education and whole-person well-being. Their programmes encourage purpose, compassion and emotional strength among students, educators and parents.
Here are a few ways in which we serve

Through the Feed the World initiative, youth organise visits to homes and deliver meals to the elderly every Sunday morning. Bimonthly grocery distribution supports school-going children, and monthly mobile grocery distribution reaches the wider community. Children from the home also participate in monthly grocery-packing and distribution to elders, in collaboration with Hao Ren, inspiring empathy, service-mindedness and intergenerational connection.

A tripod educational model strengthens children by empowering teachers and parents, with workshops, symposiums and network sessions with experts cultivating environments that prioritise mental well-being and values. Sunlove Home uplifts young people through educare programmes, alongside youth development, caregiver training and volunteer development. SWAMI Home complements this by offering health education, engagement and intergenerational learning programmes that foster empathy in caregivers and youth across Singapore.

Singapore's spirit of service extends beyond its shores. Medical teams from National University Hospital have taken part in Heart to Heart Missions, travelling to Fiji to perform paediatric cardiac surgeries, train local staff and strengthen Fiji's long-term healthcare capabilities. SWAMI Home has signed an MoU with the Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence in India, enabling nursing students to undergo clinical attachments in Singapore.

Compassionate care for seniors is provided through Sunlove Home and Sunshine Welfare Action Mission (SWAMI Home), providing essential care, dignity and companionship. Together, Sunlove Home and SWAMI Home provide a comprehensive ecosystem of eldercare, delivering meals annually through Meals-on-Wheels and residential nutrition, offering nursing-home care, mobile clinics and home-based support, and strengthening well-being through health education and therapy services.
Weekly Value-Formation Classes reach young girls at a children's home, where stories, reflection, activities and mentorship help children gain confidence, grounding and a sense of purpose.
Volunteers and partner organisations in Singapore support the Mission's work locally and globally.

Uplift Singapore is a youth-focused initiative that inspires young people in Singapore to participate in service and doing good. Through workshops, events and community activities, it encourages students and young adults to develop values-based leadership and contribute to society.
