Educates an orphaned child for a month

Active since: 2025
One World One Family Mission has been active in South Korea since 2025 through NPO One World One Family (South Korea), serving communities through initiatives in nutrition, education, healthcare and community support. Working alongside local partners and volunteers, the team is building programmes that respond to the needs of vulnerable individuals and families while fostering a spirit of compassionate service.
Here are a few ways in which we serve
Through the Feed the World initiative, volunteers prepare and distribute nutritious meals each week to people in need. Since 2026, the team has been developing its own free meal service for people experiencing homelessness in Seoul, working alongside Ddasuhan Chaeumteo, a programme operated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korean Red Cross. Alongside each meal, volunteers offer a warm welcome, conversation and human connection.
Through the Value Educate the World programme, values education books for students and teacher handbooks are being translated into Korean. While education is widely accessible in South Korea, the focus is on strengthening values-based education as a complement to academic learning.
Recognising the growing mental health challenges faced by young people and the elderly, the team is preparing a monthly wellbeing programme incorporating mantra practice, meditation and basic counselling.

The South Korea team also responds to community needs during times of crisis. Following the forest fires in Andong, volunteers helped clear burnt polytunnels on tomato farms to support local farmers in restoring their livelihoods and protecting future food production. The team continues to look for opportunities to serve wherever help is needed.
