A Partnership That Began With People

Working alongside the One World One Family Mission has been an inspiring journey for our organisation, and we remain deeply grateful for the opportunity to collaborate and create meaningful impact.

One of our earliest interactions with the Mission was through Brother Ashish Bhardwaj from Annapoorna Trust. From the very beginning, his humility, sincerity, warmth, and joyful spirit reflected the values that define this Mission. Through every interaction, we experienced not merely professionalism but genuine compassion and commitment to service.

Cambodia and the Journey to Expand Nutrition

Brother Ashish and I travelled to Cambodia at Sadguru’s guidance as we worked towards obtaining government approvals to transport SaiSure nutrition supplements from India to Cambodia. Together, we had the opportunity to meet the Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia, and we continue to work towards expanding this important initiative internationally.

During a visit to Sathya Sai Grama, we had the privilege of listening to public health specialist Dr Sunil Kumar, who shared a proposal seeking nutritional support through SaiSure for 10,000 HIV-positive children in Karnataka alongside their ongoing treatment. The vision deeply moved us. Reflecting on this possibility later that evening, we felt strongly that Vidya Jyoti should become part of this effort. Upon reaching out, Sadguru graciously supported the idea, opening another pathway for collaboration and service.

A Hot Glass of Milk and a Moment of Commitment

Another deeply touching experience came during our visit to a government primary school near Sathya Sai Grama. Accompanied by Brother Ashish, we witnessed firsthand the Annapoorna morning nutrition programme in action — the preparation of hot milk enriched with SaiSure, ragi, and jaggery, lovingly served to children from labouring and underserved communities.

Watching those children receive warm, nutritious nourishment before beginning their school day was profoundly moving. Many of these children arrive at school hungry each morning, and seeing them drink that hot glass of milk with joy and eagerness was an experience that stayed with us deeply.

In that very moment, inspired by what we witnessed, we committed to supporting another 5,000 children in Karnataka, in addition to the 5,000 children already supported in Telangana and the 700 children receiving SaiSure nutrition in West Bengal.

The Mission’s model demonstrates that nutrition is not merely about food — it is about dignity, learning, health, and giving every child an equal opportunity to thrive.

When Collaboration Multiplies Impact

Our collaboration has also extended towards connecting other service organisations into this growing ecosystem of care. One such organisation, Nantara Trust founded nearly twenty years ago in Shantiniketan and serving tribal children through the vision of an IT professional who chose a life of service has now been introduced to the One World One Family Mission. These collaborations reinforce an important truth: when organisations unite with shared purpose and compassion, impact multiplies.

One World One Family — A Lived Reality

The One World One Family Mission has shown us that sustainable change is built not by working alone, but by creating partnerships rooted in service, trust, and shared humanity. On behalf of Vidya Jyoti, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to walk this journey together.

When organisations come together in the spirit of service, One World One Family becomes more than a vision, it becomes a lived reality.
