About

Sri Sathya Sai Health & Education Trust (SSSHET) is one of India’s most respected humanitarian institutions, founded in May 1970 by Sri Sathya Sai Baba. For more than five decades, it has operated on a single, unwavering principle: that the highest quality healthcare and education must be available to all totally free of cost irrespective of caste, creed, religion, or economic status.

As a core implementing partner of the One World One Family Mission, SSSHET translates the spiritual vision of universal brotherhood into tangible social impact through its ‘Free for All’ model of service. It is registered as a Public Charitable Trust and holds recognition under Section 12A and Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.

What We Do

Specialised Cardiac Care – Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospitals

The Sanjeevani Hospitals are specialised centres delivering world-class paediatric cardiac surgery at zero cost to patients and their families. Centres operate in Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Palwal (Haryana), Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra), and Kondapaka (Telangana), with further expansion underway. Children who would otherwise have no access to life-saving heart surgery receive treatment here at no charge whatsoever.

Maternal & Child Health – Sanjeevani Mother & Child Hospitals

A preventive healthcare initiative focused on maternal nutrition and the early screening of newborns and young children for congenital defects in rural areas. By intervening early, the programme addresses health challenges before they become life-threatening giving children the healthiest possible start.

Healthcare Education – Sanjeevani Institute of Nursing

The Trust runs the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Institute of Nursing, offering degree and diploma courses in nursing and allied health sciences, entirely free for deserving students. By training the next generation of healthcare professionals, the Trust ensures that compassionate, skilled care continues to grow and reach more communities.

Rural Outreach & Primary Care

Beyond its hospital campuses, the Trust conducts rural screening camps and outreach programmes that bring healthcare directly to communities with little or no access to specialist care. Volunteer medical professionals contribute their skills to these programmes, extending the reach of the Sanjeevani network into underserved areas.

Values-Based Education

Alongside its healthcare mission, SSSHET operates educational institutions built on the principle that true education shapes character as much as capability. Its Educare model emphasises values-based learning, developing students who are grounded in integrity, compassion, and a sense of service to society.
